FragilityFracture.ie is an Irish public-information resource on osteoporosis, bone density testing (DXA), and fragility fracture prevention. Osteoporosis is Ireland's silent epidemic — an estimated 300,000 people in Ireland have osteoporosis, with 20,000+ osteoporotic fractures each year. The site explains what osteoporosis and fragility fractures are, how bone density changes over a lifetime, calcium and vitamin D needs for Irish adults, DXA scanning, falls prevention, and practical next steps.
