There is no launch window to beat. Listings accumulate reactions and ranking permanently over time. A great submission from months ago can still be discovered today.

The feed is ranked by a time-decayed hot score that rewards quality reactions — not raw volume, not recency alone. Nothing sits at the top forever.

## How it works

1. A member submits a URL with a title and description — something they built or found. Goes live immediately, no approval queue.
2. Each submission gets its own permanent permalink page, indexed by Google and readable by AI search engines.
3. The community reacts: Useful (2 pts), Interesting (1 pt), Love (3 pts), or Meh (0 pts). Reactions never decay — they accumulate on the leaderboard permanently.
4. The hot score surfaces the best content in the feed, balancing freshness and reaction quality.

Submitters of their own work are labeled "Made by @username." Curators who share things they found are labeled "Shared by @username." Both roles are first-class.

## Ranking and integrity

- Organic rankings are determined solely by community reactions and the hot score algorithm
- Self-reactions and self-clicks are blocked — the hot score cannot be manipulated by the submitter
- Sponsored and campaign ads appear in the feed clearly labeled as Sponsored or Featured and do not affect organic rankings
- Reports are reviewed by moderators; links violating guidelines are removed within 24 hours

- **Sidebar slots** — Branded card with logo, tagline, and link. Three slots, weekly pricing.
- **In-feed campaigns** — Sponsored card injected into the feed, structured like a native submission.
- **Featured banner** — Top-of-feed placement above all content. Highest visibility with full description, reaction, and message access.

Advertisers get direct feedback: readers can react to sponsored cards and send private messages through the same channel native links use.
